Nate and Tammy both graduated from Northwest College in Kirkland, WA in 1989. Tammy has a B.A. in Elementary Education and Nate has a B.A. in Christian Education.
Nate and Tammy served as pastors in the Northwest and Montana Districts specializing in the areas of children’s and educational ministries from 1990 until 2002.
Nate and Tammy felt the call to missions and in 2003 became fully appointed Assemblies of God missionaries. They spent one year in Albertville, France to learn French and then moved to Madagascar in mid-2004.
While their primary focus has been in the area of children’s ministries training, they have also become involved in church planting, teaching, leadership development, and searching out sustainable development solutions for needy areas. In addition to that work, Nate is currently the head of the National Training Commission and serves as the Director for the Assemblies of God resident Bible School. Hi! Loved reading your blog and seeing the pictures of all of your family. You look happy and well! Also the pictures of the pastor. Like you said he looks so happy and full of joy. That is a real plus when you are talking to others about the Lord. When you radiate ‘joy’ you attrract others just like a light attracts ‘bugs’!!
I love you all. Eva

Deb, The houses are traditional red mud brick homes that are found throughout the high plateau in Madagascar. They are patterned after old European homes from the colonial and pre-colonial days. Thanks for your prayers. Stay warm this winter.

I received your blog address from missionaries in Tana in search of a contact for the “Royal Rangers” in Madagascar. We work on the island of Nosy Be in the north, run a primary school and Dries, my husband is in the final stages of building a yacht to reach out to the small coastal villages. It was encouraging to read about your work and wondered if you have ever visited Nosy Be seeing that you all enjoy snorkelling….

Hi, really interesting reading your blog. We are a missionary family with two young girls (3 and 6) thinking about relocating to Madagascar. What are the school/education options for children there? Is the American school the only option, I think the fees are about $10,000 a year?
Thanks for your help.
